The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will be taking part in “Hands Across the Border” that is being held on May 28, 2009. Sobriety checkpoints will be set up at the Georgia-Tennessee borders and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will conduct sobriety checkpoints on the same date and time around the same area. Additional checkpoints will be conducted during the weekend throughout Hamilton County and surrounding municipalities.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will have increased saturation throughout the Memorial Day weekend from Friday-Monday. Deputies will be on the lookout for drunk and impaired drivers and other traffic related offenses to include seat belt violator’s.
