Traffic crash on Ooltewah-Ringgold Road
Last night at approximately 10:25 p.m., the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 2100 block of Ooltewah-Ringgold road on a single car traffic crash. Deputy Todd Cook stated the vehicle was traveling south bound on Ooltewah-Ringgold road and while rounding a curve in the road, lost control and crossed over the north bound lane, left the roadway and striking a wooden fence, guardrail and two street signs, before flipping and rolling, coming to rest in a yard.
The driver of the vehicle, Trevor Burke age 17 was transported to Erlanger Hospital with serious injuries he sustained from the crash. Ryan Gill age 16, passenger in the vehicle was also transported to Erlanger Hospital, but died from the injuries he received in the traffic crash.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is on-going by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
