HCSO SWAT Personnel Respond to Residence on Freedom Circle



Hamilton County, TN – In reference to the earlier release below, new information has been released by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit.

The barricaded gunman at 4060 East Freedom Circle surrendered to Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies at approximately 6:05 am this morning.

He is identified as Jovian Kyndiah, age 19.

A deceased female was found in the residence and her death appeared to be caused by a gunshot. The facts and circumstances surrounding this death are under investigation.

The name of the deceased, as well as her relationship to Jovian, is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.

Jovian Kyndiah is being held at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Correction Facility pending charges relating to firing a weapon at four Sheriff’s Deputies.

HCSO SWAT Personnel Respond to Residence on Freedom Circle

Hamilton County, TN – At approximately 1:00 am this morning, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a residence located on Freedom Circle just off Standifer Gap Road for the report of an accidental shooting.

Upon arrival on scene, the occupant of the residence barricaded himself in the home after being confronted by law-enforcement.

SWAT and Negotiation personnel were called to the scene and after several hours of negotiations, the occupant was safely taken into custody around 6:00 am.

The suspect is currently being evaluated by EMS at this time.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division will now take over the scene of the incident.

The name of the occupant is not being released at this time.
