Local Five Year Old Donates "Lucky" Pennies to HCSO Deputies
Hamilton County, TN – On Monday, July 25, 2016, little Isabelle Simone visited the West Annex with her mother and grandmother to donate 300 of the shiniest pennies she had in her piggy bank to help bring good luck to all of the HCSO deputies!
Isabelle, five years old, hopes to one day grow up and be a police officer because according to her, "They help people and put the bad guys in jail!"
According to her mother, Shannon Jackson, little Isabelle became upset the last few weeks after seeing on the news how law enforcement personnel were being treated around the country and felt that she needed to do something to help her local law enforcement, especially after the tragic events in Dallas and Baton Rouge.
News Channel 9’s Kelsey Bagwell covered the story and the segment aired Monday night. A link to the story can be found at
As a show of our appreciation, HCSO Uniformed Services Captain Lynn Triplett and Sergeant Chris Harvey, joined by numerous HCSO deputies, presented little Isabelle a stuffed bear, badge, and HCSO patch. She was also made an "Honorary Deputy."
Special thanks to everyone involved in making this heartwarming event possible.
