HCSO and ATF Make Arrest in Joint Investigation
Hamilton County, TN - A two month joint investigation into a reported aggravated assault and burglary of a residence that took place in the Hunter Road area on September 15, 2015, culminated in the arrest of Jeremy Terrell Pettway (age 25) for a litany of felony charges stemming from the September incident.
Pettway was arrested without incident at 2908 B 15th Avenue inside the city limits of Chattanooga. The joint investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division had previously arrested Sylvester Kirkwood (age 25) on September 15th for aggravated burglary after he and Pettway fled the scene of the burglary after being confronted by the homeowner at which time they struck the vehicle the homeowner was occupying and then pulled a handgun on the homeowner.
Sylvester Kirkwood has remained incarcerated in the Hamilton County Jail since his arrest in this case.
Jeremy Pettway was arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Jail on charges of: Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm with a Felony Conviction,
Theft Over $1,000, Vandalism Over $1,000, and Simple Possession of Marijuana.
