Deputy Michael Mullins was traveling north on Dayton Blvd. last night at approximately 11:25 p.m. enroute to the Sheriff’s West Annex. He observed an older white Dodge Neon backed up to the front door of the Red Bank Army Store located at 5613 Dayton Blvd. He also saw that the front door of the business had been knocked out. As Deputy Mullins was turning around to investigate, the white Dodge Neon pulled away from the store with the lights off and headed south on Dayton Blvd.

Deputy Mullins engaged his emergency equipment to stop the vehicle but the driver refused and continued south on Dayton Blvd. Chattanooga Police Department was notified to assist, as the driver continued to operate the vehicle in an erratic manner in the downtown area. The driver struck a curb on Market Street, damaging the tires on his vehicle and at this point was driving on the rims. The vehicle finally came to a stop on Frazier Avenue at Tremont.

The suspect, Brandon Ray McNeese w/m age 27 was taken into custody after a brief struggle. He will be charged with Burglary, Felony Evading, Felony Reckless Driving, and Driving on Suspended License. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
