The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was notified February 7, 2009 at approximately 10:56 p.m. on a traffic crash that occurred on the W road. Sgt. David Tittle stated that the two vehicles involved were a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer and a 1996 Ford Bronco.

The 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer was being driven south on the W road by Robert Wetherbee age 42 and Casey Connick age 29 was driving the 1996 Ford Bronco north on the W road. The two vehicles hit, causing the Ford Bronco to strike the guard rail and catch on fire while the 2008 Trailblazer rolled several times coming to rest on its top. The driver of the Bronco was able to get out of the vehicle but it took emergency personnel approximately 53 minutes to extricate Mr. Wetherbee.

Both parties were transported to Erlanger Hospital where they were admitted. Sgt. David Tittle stated he was notified on Sunday evening, February 8, 2009 that Mr. Wetherbee succumbed to the injuries that he sustained from the traffic crash.

The investigation is continuing by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
