Three Charged with Robbery

01/13/2014

Beason Dykes Stevenson

On January 12, 2014 at approximately 3:00 a.m. the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office responded to a robbery call in the 1900 Lee Pike. When Deputies arrived on scene the victim advised he had been with several friends at a local bar. When they left the bar the driver pulled into a boat ramp parking area and produced a handgun while demanding the victim's personal belongs to include cash and medication. The suspects then left the victim stranded at the boat ramp.

A description was released describing the suspects and the suspect vehicle to all area law enforcement agencies. A short time later deputies discovered the vehicle and all three occupants at a convenience store in the 13400 block of Dayton Pike. Two of the three subjects were arrested at the scene while a third fled on foot. Arrested at the scene were Joshua Stevenson and Catherine Beason with the third party identified as John Dykes was not located.

John Dykes was apprehended and arrested later that afternoon by deputies not far from the location where he had originally fled. All three subjects were charged with Aggravated Robbery, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon with the Intent to go Armed and Possession of a Controlled Substance. John Dykes had additional charges added to the original stemming from his evading arrest.

All parties were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
