Traffic Fatality 13500 Hwy. 111

On Monday October 27, 2008 at approximately 5:44 p.m. the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a traffic crash that occurred in the 13500 block of Hwy. 111. Traffic Investigator, Sgt. Mark Kimsey advised that the 1994 Toyota Camry driven by Mary Edgmon was traveling north on Hwy. 111 when for unknown reasons she left the roadway. She hit a 2002 Chevrolet truck that was parked in the emergency lane on the east side of the roadway. The truck was occupied by the owner, Joseph Van Dyke who was waiting for a tow truck. After impact with the truck, the Camry rolled down a slight embankment before coming to a stop.

Mrs. Edgmon age 59, was transported to Erlanger Hospital by Hamilton County EMS for the injuries she sustained during the crash. The driver of the parked Chevrolet truck was also transported for minor injuries.

Sgt. Mark Kimsey was notified on October 29, 2008 at approximately 7:30 p.m. that Mrs. Edgmon died as a result of the injuries she sustained in the crash. This is the 7th crash fatality that Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has investigated this year.
