The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest of a juvenile offender for Especially Aggravated Sexually Exploitation of a Minor.

Joint efforts by Detective Brian Ashburn of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, Deputy Rush of the Hamilton County School Resource Division and members of the Knoxville Police Department Internet Crimes ‘Against Children’s Task Force have been working to send out a strong message that any person in possession of or distributing images of a minor or promoting a minor to produce such material that is of a sexual content or patently offensive under the Tennessee Criminal Statute, will be vigorously investigated and prosecuted.

The technology of computer devices only continue to grow and with these devices in the hands of juveniles who have unlimited internet access and little or no supervision, has been a growing problem for law enforcement. Continuous efforts are made to stay up to date with these trends and we ask anyone observing or suspecting sexual material involving a minor on the internet be reported immediately to your local law enforcement office or to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
