On October 9, 2012 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 5909 Fort Sumter Drive in Hamilton County Tennessee to investigate the death of a 12-week-old infant, Elizabeth Mia Fry.

Based on the facts and circumstances surrounding the child’s death, Detectives determined that her aunt [Jessica Fax], who had been babysitting the child, murdered Elizabeth Fry. The Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office reports that the child sustained multiple skull fractures, which was the primary cause of death.

Jessica Fax was arrested on October 10, 2012 by Detectives with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and booked at the Hamilton County Jail, charged with Criminal Homicide.
