"Shred It" & DEA Fourth Annual Prescription Drug Take Back

04/26/2012

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will partner with the “Shred It” company on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 8:30 to 1:00 p.m. at the Sheriff’s West Annex located at 6233 Dayton Blvd. for the annual “Shred It” event.

This will provide a service to the residents of Hamilton County to safely destroy their important papers or medical documents and lower the possibility of becoming a victim of identity theft.

This is a service open to residents who can bring several boxes of papers to be destroyed but is not open to businesses.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will also take part in the DEA Fourth Nationwide Prescription Take Back. Prescription drug abuse is a major epidemic across Hamilton County and law enforcement is committed to reducing the potential for misuse by providing a safe and secure method for residents to clean out their medicine cabinets.

For anyone who would like to take advantage of this opportunity, can drop off their unwanted prescription drugs at the collection sites provided and are located at 6233 Dayton Blvd. (Sheriff’s West Annex) and 5800 Highway 58 at Central High School between the hours of 8:30a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday April 28, 2012. Please no sharp objects or needles.
