Armed Robbery at the Mountain View Pawn & Jewelry
A armed robbery in progress was reported to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office early this afternoon at approximately 12:45 p.m. at the Mountain View Pawn & Jewelry, located at 15115 Dayton Pike. A deputy was on the scene two minutes after the call was received.
The victim reported three suspects entered the store thru a rear door. One suspect, armed with a black semi-automatic pistol, struck him in the face, then forced him to the front of the store. The other two suspects shattered two display cases and took an unknown amount of gold jewelry. One of the suspects stated he saw a customer pull into the lot and all three started running towards the rear door of the store. As the suspects fled, the clerk was able to obtain a weapon and fired several shots. It is unknown if any of the shots hit the suspects.
The three suspects fled into a wooded area at the rear of the business and deputies set up a perimeter to secure the area for the K-9. The K-9 was able to pick up a scent which led to a roadway where it is believed the suspects had a vehicle or was picked up by a vehicle.
The suspects are described as follows:
B/M 6’ to 6’ 2” 170-180 lbs. early 20’s wearing black t-shirt, blue jeans, blue in color LA Dodgers hat “LA” tattoo on his inner right forearm.
B/M 6’0” to 6’2”, 200-220 lbs. mid 20’s to early 30’s, wearing a blue t-shirt, baggy blue jeans, black tennis shoes
B/M 5’ 10 to 5’ 11”, 230 -240 lbs. mid 20’s No clothing description, his hair was pulled back into a bun or roll with a sock or net around it.
