On September 3, 2011 at approximately 12:35 p.m. Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to 6921 Snowhill Road in reference to a vehicle crash. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a single vehicle crash and the driver identified as Christopher Matthew Franks age 28, died from the injuries he sustained in the crash.

The driver had been traveling north bound on Snowhill Road in a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis, when for unknown reasons, left the roadway on the right side, became airborne before striking a tree. He was wearing a seat belt.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services and Tri Community Fire Department.

This investigation is ongoing and being handled by Deputy Eddie Sledge, HCSO Traffic Division.
