On July 21, 2011 at approximately 11:52 p.m., the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to 7424 Woodland Bay Drive on a possible drowning. Shortly after midnight the body of Alan Moultrie w/m age 62 was retrieved from the water with the assistance of Dallas Bay Fire Department and Volunteer State Rescue.

The preliminary investigation is indicating that this event is an accidental drowning due to a severe medical condition. There are no signs of trauma to the body and no foul play noted.
