The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office initiated a criminal investigation on November 16, 2010 after receiving a complaint of alleged inappropriate sexual contact involving a juvenile and two adults.

The investigation resulted in the arrest yesterday afternoon of Richard S. Batson w/m age 41 and Julia Yoder w/f age 39. Batson was charged with Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure and is under a $75,000 bond. Julia Yoder was charged with Aggravated Statutory Rape and has a $25,000 bond.

The investigation is on-going and investigators are working closely with the Tennessee Child Protection Services.
