The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was notified this morning at approximately 10:19 a.m. by the clerk at Mountain View Pawn Shop reporting an attempted armed robbery. The victim advised the suspect, who was described as a white male entered the store and had a handgun. The suspect became startled for unknown reasons and turned leaving the store before completing the robbery. The suspects physical description is as follows: 6’ 1” weighing between 160 and 175 lbs. wearing blue jeans and a dark colored tee shirt (possible rock band logo on the front) and had long hair pulled back into a pony tail.

The suspect fled the scene in an older primer gray Oldsmobile traveling in the direction of Bledsoe County A composite sketch was completed by the witness and has been attached to this release.
