On Saturday September 4, 2010 at 10:42pm Sheriff's Deputies of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Shipley Hollow Road at Shipley Cemetery Road in reference to a shots fired call. While enroute deputies were advised that the complainant had several people held at gun point awaiting the arrival of responding deputies. Upon arrival, Deputies found a white male, later identified as Stacey F. Swallows of 920 Shipley Cemetery Road, armed with an assault rifle. Deputies secured the weapon and began to investigate.

Contact with numerous teenagers (ages ranging from 16 years of age to 19 years of age). All teenagers gave written statements advising that they had gone to the cemetery to follow up on a ghost story that they read about on an internet website concerning the Shipley Cemetery. The teenagers stated they were leaving and as they traveled down Shipley Cemetery Road towards Shipley Hollow Road, they came in contact with Mr. Swallows who parked his vehicle in the roadway blocking their travel. Mr. Swallows displayed a rifle, pointed it at them and instructed them to stay where they were until police arrived.

Mr. Swallows was arrested and charged with nine (9) counts of Aggravated Assault and nine (9) counts of False Imprisonment. He was transported and booked into the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
