The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Narcotics and Special Operations Division has completed a four month long narcotics investigation involving heroin distribution. The investigation culminated in the arrest of Clarence Roberts b/m age 59 of Chattanooga, Tennessee, James “Preston” Brown w/m age 25 of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Nicole Gouvitsa w/f age 32 of Atlanta, Georgia. Both Roberts and Brown have been booked into the Hamilton County Jail on four counts each of Possession of Heroin for Resale. Gouvitsa is being held in Atlanta, Georgia on unrelated drug charges and will be charged with Possession of Cocaine here in Chattanooga.

These charges are the result of an undercover operation which led to a well organized heroin ring located here in Chattanooga as well as other cities in south east Tennessee. These cases will be presented to the U. S. Attorney’s office for prosecution.
