The Awards Banquet to honor employees of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was held on April 22, 2010 at the Chester Frost Pavilion. Listed below are the names and categories of those honored:

Ric Whaley: Sheriff’s Investigator of the Year

Eric Baxter: School Resource Officer of the Year

Tracey Case: Corrections Officer of the Year

Co-Civil Process Servers of the Year: Doug Everett & Leonard Holbrook

Court Officer of the Year: Dewayne Rachels

Supervisor of the Year: Sgt. Brian McDowell

Manager of the Year: Lt. Van Hinton

Civilian of the Year: Linda Frizzell

Everyone who attended this event was entertained by David Browning, who for over 40 years has performed as “The Mayberry Deputy.” He incorporates costume, gestures, facial expressions and audience participation to provide an atmosphere of good clean fun, and adds life and excellent entertainment for all.
