04/18/2010

A traffic crash reported this afternoon at approximately 3:20 p.m. at 10000 Lee Highway involved a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle and a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. According to Traffic Investigator, Deputy Eddie Sledge, the driver of the 2000 Jeep Cherokee was traveling west bound on Lee Highway and observed a blue vehicle traveling east bound in the west bound lane of traffic. The driver of the Jeep swerved off the roadway into a ditch to avoid the blue vehicle and then lost control of his vehicle and hit the motorcycle that was traveling east bound. The blue vehicle has been described as either a Chrysler PT Cruiser or a Chevrolet HHR.

The operator of the motorcycle suffered critical injuries and was transported to Erlanger Medical Center where she was pronounced D.O.A. No names will be released at this time as the investigation is on-going.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigator Sledge is requesting anyone who may have witnessed the traffic crash or have information pertaining to the crash, to call the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Dispatcher at 423-622-0022.
