A fight occurred between two female students at Brainerd High School today at approximately 1:30 p.m. One female student entered a classroom during class and started assaulting another female student. The School Resource Officer was called and responded to the classroom, where she attempted to intervene and stop the fight. When the female student who initiated the assault refused to comply with numerous verbal commands to stop, she was then tased.

The Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services was called to check the party per policy and transported her to an area hospital after she complained of shortness of breath. She will be charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.
