HCSO Participates in Domestic Violence Awareness Month Activities

10/06/2022

Hamilton County, TN – Earlier this morning, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office personnel joined with our local law enforcement partners in conjunction with Chattanooga City Mayor Tim Kelly and Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp to officially recognize October 2022 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Hamilton County.

Today’s event was organized by the Partnership for Families, Children, and Adults and featured their Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kevin Hyde, who offered comments on how their services and programs are making a difference in the lives of victims of sexual violence.

Also partnering in today’s event were personnel from the Family Justice Center and Legal Aid of East Tennessee. Regina McDevitt, Executive Director for the Family Justice Center, also offered remarks about the services their center provides to victims of domestic abuse.

Please join with us as we recognize October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and help educate our community on how we can prevent domestic violence and abuse.

If you or someone you know has been the victim of domestic violence or abuse, please contact the Partnership for Families, Children, and Adult’s Crisis Hotline at 423-755-2700.
