Earlier today a female student was arrested at Brainerd High and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Carrying a dangerous weapon on school property. This was the result of an on-going argument between the suspect and the female victim over a boyfriend.

The altercation took place in a math classroom and both the male and female victims suffered superficial cuts. The female victim had a small cut to her stomach area. The male victim sustained a cut to one of his fingers when he tried to intervene during the altercation.

The suspect was transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.
