This unit is currently made up of 27 citizens from the communities within Hamilton County. These officers underwent weeks of
specialized training, thorough background investigations, and other testing to become sworn part-time deputies. These
officers provide a great service to the Sheriff’s Office with countless hours of free labor being provided on different
community projects. The special part-time deputies ride on patrol and support full-time officers, and work special functions, s
uch as traffic control and security at the County Fair, Riverbend Festival, Air Show and other events during the year.
