<title>Narcotics search warrant on Austin Drive &#45; 07&#45;30&#45;2010</title>

<description>The Narcotics and Special Operations Division of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant early this morning at 5240 Austin Drive.  Detectives located a methamphetamine lab inside the residence and requested a cleanup truck from an area environmental company to pick up and package for disposal of the chemicals used in the lab.</description>

<description>Early this morning, July 28, 2010 Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Investigative Services Division served three search warrants in connection with the July 21st murder of Darrion Moore.  Warrants were served at addresses on Lone Hill Drive, Bonny Oaks Drive and North Winds Drive.</description>

<description>Earlier today Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to 118 Reavley Road on an accident involving a lawn mower.  After their arrival it was found that the incident also involved a motor vehicle and a lawn mower. The investigation found that John Weaver age 41 was mowing the lawn and as he turned the mower around in the roadway, Frankie Trantham age 72 traveling east bound on Reavley Road  in a Chevrolet Trailblazer, struck the mower.  Deputies advised the location where the incident occurred was a blind hill at the railroad tracks and Ms. Trantham did not see the mower or Mr. Weaver until contact was made.</description>

<description>On Wednesday July 21, 2010 at approximately 10:47 p.m. the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office responded to Memorial Hospital on a reported person shot.  When investigators arrived at the hospital they interviewed Charles Moore, the  victim's father.  Mr. Moore advised investigators he heard gun shots outside his residence located at 5802 Shady Hollow Lane.  When he went outside the residence, he observed his 21 year old son, Darrian Levon Moore sitting in his vehicle.  When he approached the vehicle and found his son suffering from an apparent gunshot to the head, he immediately drove him to Memorial Hospital.</description>

<description>The Criminal Investigative Division of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office was notified on Saturday July 17, 2010 on a possible child abuse.  Detectives responded to T. C. Thompsons Hospital to initiate the criminal investigation into the injuries to eight month old Trinity Luck.  It was found the infant was first taken to Erlanger North for medical treatment but then transferred to T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital.  The investigation is on&#45;going and no further information will be released pending the conclusion of the criminal investigation.</description>

<description>At a ceremony held on July 19, 2010, the Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Soddy Daisy, Knights of Columbus honored Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Corporal Spencer Daniels with "Law Enforcement Officer of the Year."  The event was held at the church and attended by members of the church, friends and family of Corporal Daniels as well the Command Staff of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.</description>

<description>Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the 2500 block of Cummings Highway last night around 10:20 p.m. on a pedestrian struck.  The investigation at this time shows that the victim, who was identified as 48 year old Terry Bailey of Chattanooga was crossing the roadway on Cummings Highway when he was hit by a vehicle traveling west bound.  The suspect vehicle did not stop after making contact with the victim.</description>

<description>The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce the creation and implementation of a new specialized unit called Safe Journey.  Safe Journey is being established through a grant from the Governor's Highway Safety Office and will be a component of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division.  The specialized unit will train traffic personnel and parents on the proper installation of safety seats and conduct safety checks.  Safe Journey will consist of three trained individuals who will concentrate and address all concerns regarding child protection seats in motor vehicles.  Periodic child safety checkpoints will be set up and publicized to educate and assist the public on all aspects of child passenger safety seats.</description>
