2007 is the inaugural year for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office “Caring Cops” Toy Drive Campaign. The Sheriff’s Toy Drive officially begins November 23, 2007, and will run through the week prior to Christmas, 2007. Toys collected will benefit the Christmas for Kids Forgotten Child Fund. Toys will be collected at several convenient locations throughout Hamilton County including:

  • Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, 600 Market Street
  • West Sector Annex, 6233 Dayton Blvd.
  • Hamilton County Tag & Title Office, Bonny Oaks
  • Walgreen’s, Frazier Avenue

The Sheriff’s “Caring Cops” Toy Drive Campaign is a collaborative effort with the community to provide holiday toys to needy families in Hamilton County. The names of our recipients come from churches, schools, community based organizations and Deputies who observe families needing assistance.

“Caring Cops” additionally provides children positive interactions with law enforcement officers. The program builds beneficial relationships by creating a pleasant and enjoyable experience with officers. Children need to view officers as caring people who are willing to provide positive support.

For more information about “Caring Cops” contact Sharon Braden at 423-209-7033. Monetary donations can be sent to “Forgotten Child Fund”, c/o Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, 600 Market Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402.
